This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    Thank You James,

This theme is pretty much out of the box I have not added any plugins, the plugins are pretty much like default plugins that you see bundled with most themes. Proceed anyway with your suggestion?

    James,

I just got a response from the theme owner. He said that the HTML code being displayed that I do not need to pay attention to it (I wasn’t really pleased with this answer). But it wasn’t there before! I have other sections of pages (its a construction site) The sections are projects, services, teams and testimonials. There are about 30 pages total in all these sections and none display HTML code when editing them. The HTML code only shows in the Pages section of the dashboard.

So, for now, I’ll just deal with this messy looking HTML on my pages in the Pages section for now.

This will not affect my production but at the same time I’m not happy either. I will do what you suggested in the very near future. For now I have to move forward so I can wrap up this milestone enabling me to move to the next so as to get some money in.
