This will probably sound obvious, but have you tried enabling the “Profile” item for those roles? (Note: Since the plugin shows the admin menu as seen by the current user, “Profile” will be at “Users -> Profile”, not “Profile -> Profile”.)
I tried going to —> roles – -> switched to “author role”, put a checkmark under “edit profile”
Still unable to edit profile for the author role.
I meant enabling it in the admin menu editor. When you go to “Settings -> Menu Editor”, the “Admin Menu” tab should be open by default. Find the “Profile” item there. I believe the item is just called “Profile”, not “Edit profile”, unless you’re using a different language.
