  • Setup the kiwi domain as an addon domain, with its own WordPress installation. Give it a copy of all the files. Use the plugin DUPLICATOR to copy the database with the relevant changes.

    Thanks for your advice.
    This was my original plan but I was concerned about the impact that the duplicated content, headings etc may have on the search engine rankings of both the AUS and NZ site.
    There appears to be some conflicting points of view about duplicate content and SEO, however I prefer to err on the side of caution.

    It makes no difference to google if it sees the same content on two different domain names, as against seeing the same thing but coming from a shared database. Google can’t even see the difference.
