Doesn’t upload media

    i hope you can help me.. using either the browser uploader and the flash uploader this is the message i get at the end of the upload of any media file:

    The uploaded file could not be moved to /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/nicolacarignani.com/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-content.

    why?

    You probably don’t have write access to that folder on the host machine. Log into the FTP and go to the wordpress/wp-content directory and check if you have write access enabled.

    Also, some hosts don’t let you upload certain file types. Does it work with images but not movies?

    Hi-
    I’m having the same issue.

    The permissions are set to 775.

    The 2 red alerts I get are http error &
    An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.

    This happens from different computers as well as IP addresses. It is a new blog and we have not yet tried to upload to the media library previously. I am sure that I can upload pngs & ppts to the server, as I am the server admin.

    Please help.

    Thanks Kristopher, you were right. Now it uploads BUT all the images are not visualized and have the “broken file” icon.

    I checked in the wp-content folder and noticed it created 3 different files in 3 different sizes for each image I uploaded, and they look alright but are not visualized in the post!
