Doesn’t quite cut it
-
From all the promotion and claims of functionality, this plugin seemed to fit the bill for me, so I paid for the pro version and have 80% developed a site for a client.
Now on final testing I’m finding all sorts of flaws in basic functionality which simply shouldn’t be an issue. Tech support have been somewhat responsive, but there often seems to be a language barrier and there has been repeated issues of actually getting them to understand the issues correctly …of which there have been numerous.
In my case, it is with the registration process where:
1) forced subscription was not processed correctly and attached to the new user account
2) Billing address fields not available during new user registration process (with aforementioned forced subscription)
3) unprofessionally worded email notifications text which actually can’t be edited/customised! I was sent details of using a translation plugin(!!) which I’m still to get my head around
4) New User accounts not setup correctly when using the account authorisation process – I’ve been told to use the ‘Email notification’ (and not use the authorisation function) and then it works! …umm, WHAT?!!I have been told for quite a while now that the “Billing address issue” will be fixed in the next update, but this has been going on for many weeks and I’m basically waiting to be able to hand-over to a client and a fix isn’t forthcoming.
These issues are core functionality that *should* be working. There are too many major issues for this plugin to be available and to take money for.
It does have great potential, but I’d advise staying away for now. It’s far too problematic!
I apologise to the support staff that have done their best to help and I prefer not to leave negative reviews, but it has gone too far now. WeDevs simply can’t continue like this!
I’m now in the position of having to completely re-develop a site that I’m pretty much ready to handover and I’m furious (with WeDevs) at the predicament I now find myself in.
