The gutenslider is clearly not maintained anymore but it has a feature that made it great as a background slider. You could put other blocks inside of it and the other images would just rotate behind them. Is there a way to duplicate that behavior with your plugin? Your plugin is one of the ones recommended since the other plugin isn’t being maintained. My goal is to have a container with 5 image slides and a smaller container with static Text and a button. I can do it in Gutenslider but it has other issues and hasn’t been updated in 2 years so I can’t use it. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

Thanks for the message. Can you please add a demo link or any screenshot or a video where I can find your expected feature?

    Thanks

Absolutely, I created an animated GIF below. The top is what I figure out how to do with your plugin and the bottom is the visual I am going for that I could do with old Gutenslider plugin. The main difference is that the foreground is fixed and only the background is moving which is desired by my boss. I actually have several sites that would benefit from this effect as it is a style my team likes.

Gutenslider works similar to your Flexible block but you can add other blocks inside at the beginning and they just show throughout the slideshow using their fixed mode.

The reusable pattern “FrontPage Slider Message” is a GenerateBlocks container with a header, paragraph and button inside. So for your plugin I put it in each slide, which if the text was changing for each slide would work, but looks funny when it is staying the same the whole time.

Does my goal make sense now? Does that help?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Fantastic news! The website I am building that needs this is scheduled for later this year. Do you feel like your “soon” falls into this year or should I look at other solutions which at the moment means getting a page builder instead of running native like I want. This feature if implemented well would make me buy a pro version.

Thank you for a great plugin that almost really is an “All in One Slider Solution”.

Any updates on this being a feature in your free or pro version of your plugin?

    Thanks.
