Although it is perfect if you name your files with English characters, it does not work with Greek for example. Plugin deletes the first word of the image’s filename. For example “παραδειγμα-εικονας.jpg” is uploaded on alt, title, caption and description as “εικόνας”, the first word is omitted!
As a result, i lost an hour of naming the files in the first place and then manually correcting all images on WordPress multimedia dashboard.

The problem for me is that I couldn’t replicate the issue at my end no matter what server setup I use. I tried an image at my end and here are the results
If you could give the above suggestion a try and give me feedback, that would be greatly helpful and possibly will get me a step closer to a solution for all. Thanks in advance.
Hi Arun and many thanks for the quick reply. After reading your links i though of uploading the same images with the Greek filenames to another website i own, which if i recall well is on the name server as the one with the character issue.
Surprisingly, plugin works as supposed there which i strange because i am under the impression that both websites are hosted under the same server and settings. Will need to double check with my server admin.
For the moment, i need to find out how to change my review (star numbers from 2 to 5)
Hello again John, thanks for the good news. I am curious to know what you can discover from your server admin. Happy to take directly with the admin if needed.
Thanks also for updating the stars. Very kind 🙂
