Display gallery in a bbpress topic

    Hi again,

    I thought I’d give your plugin a go after our last conversation. I’ve managed to get it up and running on a blog post but the one thing I’m trying to do is to parse your shortcode within a bbpress topic (and/or forum description). By default bbpress disables shortcodes. There is an old plugin to allow shortcodes within bbpress but it doesn’t work.

    Assuming I can parse html in a topic, what are the alternatives to the shortcode for displaying my gallery?

    Hi,
    there are 2 options how to display the gallery:

    – The shortcode. This is the “legacy” way to do it and I would recommend not using it unless you have to.

    – The block. This is the preferred way – you should be running WP 5.0 by now and with that you should be able to use the block editor.

    I have no experience with bbPress, so I am not able to help you more than this I’m afraid…

    Hi!

    I’m also in stuck with this issue. I try enabling the shortcodes in bbpress and shortcodes work, but it’s missing the javascript files to load the galleries. May you take a quick look and help me?

    Hi,
    that is an issue in bbPress I’d wager. Try asking them about how to include shortcodes. I, unfortunately, know next to nothing about bbPress.

    @quoctai101 – there’s a plugin called DV Shortcodes, which allows you to insert shortcodes into bbpress and BP. I don’t need it since the shortcodes I am using is run by a plugin (Gamipress) that already allows me to insert them in bbpress but you could try DV Shortcodes. I have no idea if it will allow the JS to run.
