Display Folder ID Option

    Hi there,

    I’ve been using folder management plugins for quite some time, and I found Folders really interesting and well-designed. However, I believe it’s missing a key feature that’s essential for anyone who organizes content in WordPress on a daily basis.

    For example, in the FileBird plugin, there’s an option called “Display folder ID” that can be toggled on the same page where all folders are listed. With just one click, the folder IDs appear right next to their names, and you can easily hide them again with another click. This feature is extremely helpful for managing and referencing folders efficiently — especially when you need to use a specific folder ID for certain implementations or custom code.

    Even if this feature were available only in the Pro version, I believe it would be indispensable for many users.

    This option is very useful, for example, when we prefer to organize products, pages, or posts by the folder ID instead of by tags, which are much less flexible.

    In FileBird, I usually enable the “Display folder ID” option whenever I need to quickly check the ID of a specific folder — for instance, when working with a block of selected products that needs to be displayed on the frontend. Having the folder ID visible makes this process much faster and easier.

    That’s great.
    I’m currently able to generate and view these folder IDs in my backend using a custom code I created. However, I believe most users would greatly benefit from having this feature built in, since many of them might not know how to achieve this through code.

    If possible, please let me know if this feature gets implemented — I’d love to test it out and provide feedback.
