Thanks for the suggestion of having a feature to disable voting on nested replies. I added that to my roadmap for future updates.
Recently, I implemented a feature to remove your vote by pressing the same button a 2nd time. Pressing down after you press up intuitively says to me that you want to change your vote. But pressing the same button a 2nd time means you want to undo it.

Hi,
I suggest a new option to disable voting for threaded / nested replies deeper than the first level. (“Reply threading” is an option of bbPress which may need to be enabled first to see what I mean). I’d like to use nested replys like “comments” in Stackoverflow which do not have voting, too.
Btw: I think it is not intuitive that after clicking the up arrow, the down arrow does not revert the vote… It should count -1 in two steps and not -2 at once.
