So this all started when I got an email saying that I had to pay to renew a plugin called “Simple Link Directory,” but when I went to look in my settings and left nav, I couldn’t find it. I couldn’t even find it on the plugins page. I wasted my time.

Another issue was the email told me I only had one day to pay otherwise I would be removed from the plugin. I was like WHAT??? Why am I only given one day to pay?

So I wrote to the email asking who they are and stated that they probably didn’t give me the right name of the plugin as so many developers don’t do.

I asked them to give it to me and then I asked why they were rushing me and only giving me less then 24 hours to pay.

I’ve noticed that this is a huge problem with some developers.

They name their plugin one thing, then once it’s installed, they name it another name, and sometimes there’s even a third name listed in some other place I can’t remember right now.

Anyway, instead of answering my question about the name, they just kept pushing their link to me to pay. I said you didn’t answer my question.

They also claimed they sent out 3 emails. I only got ONE.

Instead of answering my question a 3rd time AGAIN they said…

“Simply purchase a new license from (link removed) and replace the license key from the Help and License page.”

I have no idea who they are, what plugin this is for, and they can’t even answer my questions!

All I’ve done is waste my time with this company and they ignored my last email. I don’t care if I was upset. Three emails and they can’t answer a simple question.

After more wasted time, we figured out it was a plugin I purchased last year, it didn’t do what we needed, so they gave us a refund & of course it was removed. They didn’t even look into that when I said I couldn’t find their plugin. I should have been removed from their rebill notices last year & now I’m still getting emails from them just today. I’ll see if there’s an unsub link.

Oh, and they removed my review so I’m redoing it.

If this gets censored again, I’ll spend my time letting everyone know what kind of company this is.

For the record – this was the subscription renewal reminder email sent with the plugin name: https://prnt.sc/zTvu2_L2upuq

In our second email we sent a link to the product details page which included all the details about the plugin: https://prnt.sc/f_vieyuqkiX4

We do not appreciate people calling us stupid.

    Thank you

Right, & I told you 2-3 times that I couldn’t find it in the left nav & to give me the name that would show up on the left nav.

Of course you ignored me & just kept pushing your payment link instead of talking to me about what I said 2-3 times & yet you don’t want me to call you stupid.

The 2nd link you gave me was also the payment link. I never clicked on it because it was for a payment I wasn’t going to give you since I had no idea who you were.

And had you just looked my account up to see why I couldn’t find it, you would have seen I got a refund & that’s why I couldn’t see it in my plugins area, but you didn’t do that either. This caused my time to be wasted & it made you look bad trying to pressure me into paying without answering my question.

Now rather than go back & forth again, maybe just accept your responsibility in all of this instead of trying to deny what really happened.

I suggest next time if the customer can’t find your plugin name, that you look them up to even see if they paid & if you refund someone, remove them from your auto pay emails so this doesn’t happen again.

AND don’t send only one email giving the customer less then a day to pay so they are all stressed out because you didn’t give them any notice.

    All the best
