The default template is blank. You need to add the blocks/shortcodes to the page content.
Have you tried copying the content of the location page into this new page?
Let me know.
Thanks,

Hi, sorry I didn’t make it clear that I needed the full width map to be shown at the top on homepage, that’s the important bit :P. The homepage contents may be slightly different from the Location page, but I can work on that later. But in any case, the contents on the Location page does not include the full-width map, right?

Ok, you need to use the template: Blank (for page builders) and set the GD > Map block width to 100%.
Let me know if that was it.
Thanks,
p.s., did you know that if you install the AyeCode connect plugin, you can import this demo in less than 1 minute and then adapt it to your needs? (click icon on the right of the website as in screenshot https://paste.pics/GQTOB)

Yes, I got the full-width map now but the contents are also full width. How to seperate them so that map is full width at the top and contents are within a non full-width container, just like your Location page? I wonder if it’s possible to create sections for separating the two

That’s easy, blocks that you don’t want to be full width, add the “container” class to the Additional CSS class(es) field of the block’s advanced option. https://paste.pics/GR52V
