Hi @armenhex
By default, Yoast SEO describes your Pages by using WebPage schema, and describes your Posts by using Article schema (and WebPage schema). You can learn more about it here – https://yoast.com/help/selecting-content-types-in-schema-settings/
We understand that you are interested in possibly changing the defaults to something that would better suit your website. While we are unable to provide suggestions and specific SEO advice on what would be the best option for your website, please do be aware that changing the defaults could result in potential errors or warnings, if not configured with the correct markup.
Our default logic comes with a lot of build-in validation and error handling. These checks make sure that we don’t output invalid structured data in edge cases, or when we encounter conflicting options. They also help us to integrate all of the different pieces of schema which a page outputs. By overriding the defaults, you may alter your schema markup in ways which don’t make sense, or which are incomplete. So please do keep this in mind when making any changes.
