Data in MySql and GDPR

    I’ve just installed the plugin and made some tests.

    I’ve noticed that when I propect user subscribe to oure newsletter, their data i save in MySql with unlimited retention: if they subscribe by mistake or if they decide to unsubscribe, of if they ask to delete their data, what happens?
    GDPR requires us to remove all those data on user requests: what does the plugin do? how? What if a user does not confirm their subscription?

    Hello Lorenzo,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    When a user subscribes through your form, their data is automatically saved in your Brevo account. If the contact unsubscribes—either via a link in your emails or through your website—they will be automatically marked as unsubscribed in Brevo and will no longer receive your communications.

    Regarding GDPR compliance: if a contact requests full deletion of their data, this must be done manually from your Brevo account. The WordPress plugin does not currently handle this automatically.

    Lastly, if a contact does not confirm their subscription (in the case of a double opt-in), they will not be added to your contact list.
