Customizing Bank Transfer Payment Reference

    Hello, I need some help with customizing the payment reference for bank transfers received through WooPayments. Currently, the reference appears as “WooPayments” followed by a string of numbers and letters, but I cannot find where this is configured in WordPress.

    I would like to customize this reference to include information generated by the order, such as the order number and date.

    Could anyone guide me on how to achieve this? Is there a setting or filter I can use to modify the payment reference?

    WooPayments doesn’t offer the option to customize the payment reference for bank transfers. The reference is automatically generated, including “WooPayments” followed by a unique identifier, and there’s no built-in way to modify it to include details like the order number or date.

    I will submit a feature request for this functionality in future updates as suggested.

    Just to confirm, does this mean that the payment reference is not displayed or configurable anywhere within the plugin’s settings or tabs on WordPress? I want to be sure I haven’t overlooked anything.

    The payment reference for bank transfers in WooPayments is generated automatically and cannot be customized directly from the plugin.
