Customize>>Additional CSS vs. theme-child/style.css

    I wanted to see what the current consensus is regarding where I should be putting my custom CSS. I’m a bit old-school, so I have been putting styles in the style,css file in my child theme. But now I’m wondering if it wouldn’t be better to put it all in the customizer.

    Thoughts?

    I personally enjoy (and recommend) placing CSS in a childtheme’s style.css.

    I tend to like to place everything in one location and have the original files on hand if I need to restore in haste.

    Agreed, the customizer’s CSS panel is best for modifying existing themes where creating a child theme is more than one really needs. For custom themes, whether principal or child, style.css or descendant sheets are more appropriate.
