I tested fresh Tiny Forge theme and Logo upload works fine. I would guess some plugin incompatibility could cause that. You could try to disable all plugins and see if you can upload Logo.
Also please check if you are not using any browser plugin that could block Java Script.
I looked at your site and I would suggest migrating to Tiny Framework, because you will have much better theme and it will look almost the same, but better 😉

I disabled all of my plugins but it still won’t work. I also installed the Tiny Framework but it won’t work with that either. I also tried to customize using my windows machine instead of my macbook. That didn’t make a difference. It is just not possible to add an image in the customizing area of the template.

I have the impression that there is something wrong with my WordPress installation. After I updated to the latest version 4.2.4 several features are not working anymore. I can’t edit any menu either.
You could check what PHP and MySQL versions are on your server, perhaps they do not meet the WordPress requirements?
