I’ve been using TablePress alongside the ‘DataTables FixedHeader’ extension to good effect. In my current tables, I have a fixed header, which makes the top row ‘sticky’ as the user scrolls through the lengthy table.

I am now trying to establish whether it’s possible to create a table where the top 2 rows are sticky and not just the first row? I’ve checked the docs/FAQs as well as browsing previous questions, but not sure if this has been covered before?

Is this possible? If so, can anyone suggest where I might begin?

    Many thanks,
    Andy

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I see what you mean, but unfortunately, I’ll have to disappoint you here. Fixing more than one row at the top if not possible at this time. Sorry for not having better news.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

Many thanks for the quick reply, @tobiasbg — I appreciate your advice in relation to this!

Can I clarify, is it not possible in the sense of being completely impossible given the current coding or not possible as in ‘not currently supported but we might be able to hack the coding a little to accomplish this end result’?!

    Thanks again for your time!

    Hi,

more like “impossible given the current coding”, I would say. I can’t really think of a way to achieve this at the moment, sorry 🙁

    Regards,

Thanks again, Tobias. I’ll mark this as resolved so as to not clutter up the support forum. I appreciate your advice and I’ll give some further thought as to how we might best resolve this. I accept that it’s an unusual use case and perhaps not something that is easy to accomplish.

    Many thanks,
    Andy
