I’ve added a few custom CSS rules to style my post blocks, but they don’t seem to apply when I enable optimization mode. Is there a safe way to add custom styles without them being removed during minification?

    Hello @cguinn

Thank you for reaching out. I understand that your custom CSS styles are not showing up when Optimization Mode is enabled in Essential Blocks. This can happen because the optimization feature cleans and combines files, which sometimes removes extra CSS rules.

Here are a few simple ways to fix it safely:

    1. Add your CSS in WordPress Customizer:
Go to Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS and paste your custom rules there. This area is not affected by optimization and your styles will stay active.
    2. Use a Custom CSS plugin:
You can also use a plugin like Simple Custom CSS or Custom CSS & JS, which keeps your styles separate from the minified files.
    3. After saving, clear your cache:
If you’re using any caching or optimization plugin, please clear or purge the cache so your latest styles appear.

That should keep your custom design safe and visible even with optimization turned on.

Please try this and let me know if the issue continues, I’ll be glad to check further.

    Warm regards,
