    Hello Support Team,

I’m reaching out because I’ve been experiencing persistent issues with Elementor when trying to edit pages on my WordPress site, and I’d like your help in resolving this.

Below is a full account of what has happened and the troubleshooting steps I’ve already taken.

    What Happened
    – Our site is built with the The7 theme (purchased from ThemeForest) and uses Elementor as the page builder.
    – In addition to Elementor, we had the ProElements plugin installed and activated, which unlocked some Elementor Pro widgets.
    – Initially, everything worked fine, I was able to use those widgets and edit pages with Elementor without issues.
    – Recently, however, when I click “Edit with Elementor”, I encounter one of two problems:
    – A “There has been a critical error on this website” screen, or Locked “Go Pro” placeholders showing up where widgets used to be.

    What I Have Tried
    Plugin Conflict Check:
    – I identified that the conflict seems to come from the ProElements plugin.
    – With ProElements active, Elementor fails to load properly. With it deactivated, Elementor opens, but widgets previously built with ProElements show the “Go Pro” placeholder.

    Rollback Attempt:
    – I tried rolling back ProElements to the previous version before the most recent release.
    – I also attempted rolling Elementor itself back to an earlier version.
    – Neither rollback resolved the issue.

    Debugging:
    – Enabled WP_DEBUG in wp-config.php.
    – Checked logs but did not find a clear resolution, Elementor still fails when trying to load pages that use ProElements widgets.

    Theme Check:
    – Verified that The7 theme is updated to the latest version.

    Server Check:
    – Confirmed that PHP and memory settings are sufficient (PHP 8.x, memory limit ≥ 256M).

    Current Situation:
    – Elementor still fails to load properly when ProElements is active.
    – If ProElements is deactivated, I can open Elementor, but all ProElements-based widgets are broken or replaced with the locked “Go Pro” placeholder.
    – I’m trying to understand why these widgets used to work before but no longer do, even after rolling back versions.

    What I Need Help With
    – Clarification on whether this issue is related to Elementor’s recent updates, ProElements compatibility, or the The7 theme’s integration.

    Guidance on whether I should:
    – Replace the ProElements widgets with official Elementor Pro or another addon
    – Expect a compatibility fix/update,
    – or Make adjustments on the theme/plugin side.

Any detailed advice or next steps would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and support.

    Hi, @joannacraig.

Thanks for reaching out to us.

The issue was likely due to some conflict introduced as a result of the update, but it sounds as though it has been resolved. We appreciate your taking the time to let us know, and we’re glad the issue has been resolved with the latest update.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread. Please don’t hesitate to open a new one should you need help in the future.

    Kind Regards.
