After the latest update to CryptX, my site had a critical error. I received an email from WordPress, and then when viewing the site the pages were disrupted. The site quit working completely and I had to disable CryptX. The host and I have both worked on it with no solution except to keep CryptX disabled. I use Divi and have several sites with CryptX installed with Divi. I don’t want to update it anywhere else for fear the issue will persist across sites. Any suggestions on what would be causing this critical error?

Hello, I’m sorry you’re having this problem and I hope I can help. I also use CryptX on my own sites, which also use the Divi theme, but so far without any issues.
Did the error email give you any more specific information about the cause?
Perhaps you could tell me which plugins you’re using, then I can try to reproduce the problem, if possible.

Hello. I’ve released version 4.0.10, which fixes a bug that was causing a critical error. Perhaps this is the same bug you’re experiencing; if so, the new version should resolve the issue. If not, please let me know.

According to the email: “Error message: Uncaught TypeError: CryptX\CryptX::processWidgetContent():”

I did do your update and it appears to be working now. I’ll let you know if something pops up later. Thank you for the quick help and solution. 🙂
