The First editing set of fields essentially does everything I need the rule to do, the box for Action/Initial Event.
Everything else is irrelevant for what is called for, No repetition, Stopping conditions or Exceptions.
Does it matter what anything else is set to then?
how do I know if all those extra fields are going to break my simple Initial event start and stop rule?
thanks again, trying to clarify.

Hi, Crssp.
You’re on the right track; make a rule for each month with the Action/Initial Event as you have already done. You’d want to set the Repeating Pattern to Yearly (that way you can use the rules in subsequent years) and set the Stopping Condition to either a far-off enough date in the future or a sufficiently high number of repetitions (in your case, it would correspond to how many years you want the rule to be active).

Awesome thanks K., that helps tremendously.
IT was going to be hard to test all of those other conditions, when I was not sure how to set them.
It makes sense though, we actually will use them in subsequent years, if the project is successful anyways.
thanks again.

Is there anyway to have the rule builder use the title instead of an ID number in the shortcode, it makes more sense, for anyone looking at the shortcode, in the editor. they would have know way of referencing what the ID numbers stood for, and might get confused, and in my case delete the wrong months posting.
The title parapmeter in there would work great.
Just a suggestion, awesome plugin.
Not a bad idea. I think that may make it into the next release.
Thanks!
