CPT Revisions for when CMB2 Field Change Made

We are on latest CMB2, WordPress and running on PHP 7.2.
Seeing an odd behavior. Not sure what to make of it.
When we make a change in the CMB2 custom field (of a CPT), and save changes, the revisions panel the said post won’t get updated.
If however we make a change in the default content area of WP, and save, then the revision section gets updated with the latest change timestamp.
The real problem (have not reproduced it myself) from a staff member came as that they made a change in a custom field, and the next day the change was reverted. Weird, yes. Will investigate. But the best odd thing I could notice was what I described above.
Any help or comment would be appreciated.

Sorry for the late reply.
There is no message. Just that when I make a change in the CMB2 field of a CPT, the revisions box in WP post edit screen does not change. For example, I just made a change (27 Jul 2018) in one of the custom fields and saved changes. But if I make a change in the default editor of the same CPT post, the revisions box has a new timestamp.
