Could not open socket

I am seeing this error message once in about every 7 messages.
All diagnostics show that everything is working correctly including testing the mail server on tools like MXtoolbox.
All the other messages are delivered correctly and if testing the forms 5 times in a row produce 100% success rate is always achieved.
Looking at the mailserver log it show the remote connection and basic authorisation but the connection seems to be closed by your script before providing the username and password… and this status is than recorded “Could not open socket in “your” Post-SMTP message log
Any assistance or advice would be appreciated
