Oh no! I didn’t know about this. This is terrible news.
It used to be like 10 cents per order.
Yeah, I know. I was getting ready to sign up and use your plugin but it looks like the pricing model has completely changed unless I am missing something so I will have to stick with Subuno which is more affordable.

I’ve reached out to my contacts at Sift Science to clarify this.
If this really is their new model, they’re excluding a large number of small and medium sized businesses. $500 a month doesn’t really make sense unless you’re making… what? $50,000 in monthly sales?
If all else fails, it won’t be hard to switch this plugin over to some other service. Let’s see what I find out.

By the way, what’s your experience with Subuno? Is it good? Are there any other Sift Science alternatives that are worth looking into?
One solution to this issue could be to make the plugin support different services. It would take some time, but it’s something I work work towards.
Subuno works well except for one area. At present all orders are sent to Subuno and they the follow the rules engine and can update your site to allow automation of digital orders etc as per my site. The gap though is that all orders are sent i.e. payment may not be confirmed so ideally they need a way to only check orders at a status of processing.
Subuno works in the same way you are suggesting in that it really is just a way of having your orders checked by multiple external services such as MaxMind from one interface and having one bill which is great.
