I apologize for the very late reply. I just checked the plugin with the latest version of WordPress 5.5.3 and Elementor 3.0.13 and Pro 3.0.6.
Everything worked perfectly fine for me.
I request you to give it another try and if it still doesn’t work, please reply here and I’ll be more than happy to investigate personally.
FYI: There is no longer a dedicated duplicate button to duplicate a section. You’ve to right-click on the section and click on duplicate from the context menu. To copy styles just right click over the section, click copy then click paste styles on the other section that you want to stylize.
Here are the things that I tried to test with everything updated to the latest version:
✅ Able to create an inner section by right-clicking on the section.
✅ Duplicate the whole inner section.
✅ Copy, paste styles.
✅ Move section position.
