“Send plugin configuration” is the wrong question to ask. You are collecting email, phone number, plugins installed, php version.
You should only collect information related to your plugin that’s why it says “Send plugin configuration”
Where does it say you can contact me by email? Yesterday I’ve been contacted by your team. I never consented to be contacted.
This is a serious WordPress security guidelines breach.
Hi @dan009,
Thank you for your response. We understand your concerns, and we truly appreciate your feedback.
To clarify, the “Send plugin configuration” option is designed to help us analyze potential issues related to our plugin. The fetched data is used solely for troubleshooting and improving compatibility. We acknowledge your point and will review our wording to make it clearer in the future.
Regarding email communication, our intent was to assist users who provide feedback about their experience. However, we recognize that explicit consent for contact should be clearer. We sincerely apologize if our outreach felt intrusive, and we will ensure improvements in our process.
Your privacy is important to us, and we will take your feedback into account to refine our approach.
If there’s anything else you’d like to discuss, we’re happy to assist.
Regards,
miniOrange Team
