Thank you for taking the time to share this, and I’m really sorry to hear that.
All our product-related emails are meant to be strictly opt-in. If you’ve disabled every marketing toggle in each installation, you should not be receiving marketing messages anymore. That’s why we’d really appreciate it if you could forward one of the emails you believe should not have been sent at [email protected]. This will allow us to double-check on our side and see exactly what went wrong.
We definitely don’t want to overwhelm your inbox, and we take feedback like this seriously.
Once we identify the source, we’ll make sure it’s corrected.

I’ve forwarded two of the recent e-mails that should not be arrving in my inbox.
At installation time I did not see an OPT-IN for marketing emails, although I have found some settings in sites where Complianz’ setup had been completed that were sending mails afterwards.
Settings I have had to adjust:
# Settings -> General
- switch “notifications by email” to OFF
- switch “Turn notifications off” to ON (this one is only onsite as I understand)
# Settings ->API’s
- switch “Turn off monthly site scan (…)” to ON
These are in different tabs on different pages, and one needs to be turned OFF while the other needs to be ON.
I may very well be missing a setting for marketing emails, but not for a lack of trying (and if you cannot stop unwanted marketing mails that you did not see a settings to opt in to in the first place , then the setting wasn’t very opt-in)

We are currently investigating this issue. We take this very seriously, as we want to ensure that these types of emails are not sent, not even by mistake.
To help us track this down, could you please kindly forward both emails you received (ideally combined in a single message) to [email protected]? This would be very appreciated and will allow me to verify if this is a cross-product issue.

I’ve sent you another mail with two of the unwanted e-mails to [email protected]. You should be able te find my first mail around the time I made my first reply.
