• Hi,

I’he been struggling for the last couple of days with the following conflict between Custom Permalinks and Polylang. Both plugins are updated, last version of WP, pretty much a clean new installation (only theme and basic plugins with no customization).

    Here is the problem:
I have 2 pages in different languages managed by Polylang
    domain.com/pagelang1 (basic language)
    domain.com/pagelang2
    Everything is working perfectly.
Polylang is set to use the language from content and the language marker is excluded for both languages so instead of domain.com/en/pagelang2 I have only domain.com/pagelang2, and it’s very important to keep it like that.

When I change the permalink for the second page to a custom one
    domain.com/pagelang2 changed to domain.com/pagelang2newurl.html
all the links to that page direct to domain.com/en/pagelang2newurl.html and land on a Eror 404 page.

So if I manually access domain.com/pagelang2newurl.html it exists and works ok.
If I click all the links to the page (view page from wp page editor, Polylang language switcher) I get directed to domain.com/en/pagelang2newurl.html, a page that does not exist.

Please help me with a solution.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
