WordPress 5.8 overhauls the Widgets interface, and Widgets will then become Blocks. Like many other popular plugins that interact with widgets, there are no plans to rewrite Conditional Widgets to function under this new system.

For those who choose to use Classic Widgets (https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-widgets/), which I expect is many of you, Conditional Widgets will continue to be supported/maintained for the foreseeable future.

I’ve been using your plugin for about a decade and it has improved work life greatly. I’ll be sad to see it phased out. The functionality seems like such an obvious, logical feature. I always wondered why the options weren’t included in WP core.

Thanks for the kind words. Again, I do plan to continue supporting it alongside Classic Widgets for quite a while, yet.
