That is the default behaviour from WordPress, and can’t be changed unless you add some custom code. You can disable comments, if that’s what you need https://blog.hubspot.com/website/disable-comments-wordpress

The Comment box label has an asterisk, indicating it’s “required”. How can I change that? It’s very strange that it’s there in the first place.
