    Hello,

    I’ve recently been alerted to the Chrome/Google Pay ‘buy now’ button not working on my Woocommerce/WordPress website.

    I’m pretty sure it used to work but everytime it says “Card declined” when trying to make a payment.

    Apple Pay seems to work fine it’s just the Google side of things that isn’t working. I’m not sure if it’s the Google API or what, not even sure how to link it to Stripe anymore!

    Any help would be greatly appreciated to steer me in the right direction.

    Hi there!

    Hmm, this is odd. I can’t even see the Google Pay button at all in Chrome. I did see Apple Pay once, the first time I loaded the site in Safari, but I can’t see it any longer.

    Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.  Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Also, to be clear, are you using the same credit card to perform both of these tests?

    It may help to enable Stripe logging and take a look at what’s happening internally when you try to use Apple/Google Pay. To enable logging, see step 15 here:

    After it’s enabled, attempt a test transaction through Google Pay, then look under WooCommerce > Status > Logs and see if there are some Stripe logs from today showing any errors. You can copy/paste them here if needed.

    Sorry my bad, I had disabled the ‘Enable Payment Request Buttons. (Apple Pay/Google Pay)’ option and forgot to turn it back on. Should be visable now and Stripe is under test mode now.
