Hello! I’m looking for automated email software for a new website. Below I’ve listed my ideal newsletter experience for a user of this website. Can this plugin, including paid addons if needed, create this experience? If not, how close could it get?

    1. A user subscribes to a combination of categories within three post types: Blog Posts, Events, and Job Posts. The latter two will likely use the Event Calendar and WP Job Posts plugins.
    2. The user receives a single automated email every two weeks.
    3. That newsletter shows the latest blog posts, events, and job posts from the categories that the user has subscribed to
    4. If a post type has no subscriptions, such as job posts, then that entire section will not appear in the newsletter at all.

    Thank you!

Hi @spencermooreweb , thanks for reaching us!

Here’s a breakdown of the questions you raised and how Mail Mint handles them:

Mail Mint does support recurring campaigns (Pro), but at the moment those are limited to weekly, monthly, or specific days of the week. There isn’t a native “every two weeks” option yet, so a bi-weekly newsletter would require a workaround (for example, managing alternating weekly campaigns).

You can also use the Posts block (Pro) to display recent posts from selected categories, and Lists and Tags are available for segmentation. However, Mail Mint does not currently provide a built-in category subscription system, meaning users cannot self-select categories during signup in a native way. Category preferences would need to be handled manually via forms, tags, or external logic, which can become complex.

Regarding custom post types, Mail Mint is primarily designed around standard WordPress posts. While some custom post types may work depending on setup, full native support for CPTs like Events (The Events Calendar) or Job Posts is not officially documented or guaranteed.

Mail Mint does not yet have native logic to automatically hide entire sections of an email if a subscriber has no interest in that content type.  For this you can control this by conditional automation in Mail Mint.

Let me know if you have any further questions or need any assistance; I’ll be happy to assist you!

    Thanks!
