Hi, in our plugin main settings change Send from one domain to No.
Changing that setting to No does indeed allow the sender name to be automatically updated, however test emails have landed in my junk folder (as expected if i’m honest).
Is there another solution please?
For example,
Contact form 7 plugin allows admin to change the sender name but keep the correct domain ([email protected]) in the email address.
Hi,
I am afraid that we do not have any option like that, although you can edit the email template to make it more human (it will be less likely to land in SPAM). There is no simple answer what to write to make your spam filter believe that it is not a spam. You have to find your own best text.
You can also setup on your server other protections like TXT records DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) and Sender Policy Framework (SPF). Ask your server administrator to help you with that – we are not providing support for configuration of hosting servers.
Ah well that’s disappointing. I’d have thought it a simple thing that i just wasn’t aware of, clearly not.
A deal breaker for me as all mail that comes through is from the same sender (my website), it’s proving a problem this end.
Adjusting things server side seems a bit ott, so i’ll search out an alternative plugin solution. A shame as i love everything else about this one.
Typically editing the email template is enough, you can also flag the messages as not a spam, so they won’t land there.
