• Hi there,

I have moved my website from localhost to a webhosting but the header image is not showed since it is still pointing to localhost.
I have changed in the DB the localhost url for my domain url with a sql query but for some reason the header image url has not been changed.

I have searched in config files for some entry related to header image but I could not find anything, however i have searched in DB and i have found 3 entries for the header image pointing to localhost in “wp_options” table in the field “theme_mods_vega”, but when I change the url manually the result is that I get a different theme configuration and my menus and side bars misconfigured.

I will appreciate any help since I have searched on Google but I have not been able to find any help.

    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards.
    Gustavo

  • Hi Gustavo,

Thanks for reaching out, and thank you for using Vega!

The simplest way to correct this would probably be to just go into Appearance > Customize > Front Page – Banner and add the image again in there. This way you don’t have to worry about manually editing anything directly in the database, you can let the theme take care of that for you.

If you have any trouble, just let us know and we’ll be happy to help.

    Hi Steven,

Thanks a lot for your answer. I have added the image to the banner and the result is the same. I have to say that my issue is with header image, I did not have any image as a banner configured

I send you a short explain of what I did:

1)I’ve created data base in hosting server
2)I’ve uploaded my website throug ftp service
3)I’ve imported my data base from localhost to hosting server.
4)I’ve run an sql query to change url from localhost to my domain
5)Every image and video have loaded except header image.

    Troubleshooting:

1)I’ve showed in an internet browser the web code for the home page, and searched for any entry pointing to localhost and I’ve found that the header image has not changed the url and it is still pointing to localhost
2)I’ve gone to server data base and I’ve searched for “header_image.jpg”” (my custom header image) and I’ve found 3 entries for the header image pointing to localhost in the field “theme_mods_vega” so I’ve edited the field and I’ve changed “localhost/webelena” for “idiomaselenacapillas.tk” and the result is that i get a different layout of my web site. The header image has been showed now but it is showing the default image of your theme and not my custom image. I get a double and messed menu at the top. I get footers than I have not configured. It is like the website has been missconfigured.

If you load mi site now you could see what I am explaining.

Thanks for your time and support
    Best regards
    Gustavo

    Hi Gustavo,

Thanks for the detailed explanation, this is very helpful. The header image is used in the front page banner location when the banner image is missing, so I think we’re still talking about the same location on the page, but I see what you mean.

Would you mind changing it back to its previous state, prior to making the database edits to the theme_mod_vega values, and then if you can submit a support ticket with temporary admin login to your dashboard, we can help you to get this resolved:

    Hi Steven,

I have changed back the database url’s. Now the field “theme_mod_vega” is the same as my localhost database. If you open my website you can see that everything is working right except header image. Hope you can help me. It is the only I need to finish my site.

Thanks a lot for your time and support

    Thanks Gustavo, really appreciate that.

I see you created a support ticket to send the admin credentials, so we’ll follow up there.

    Thanks again!
