I enabled captions for my gallery, but they don’t appear when opening images in the lightbox view. Is there a setting I need to adjust, or is this a bug?

Thanks for reaching out! Captions should definitely appear in the lightbox view, but there are a few settings to check to make sure they’re properly displayed.

    1. Check the Caption Source – Each gallery image has fields for Title, Caption, and Description. In the Gallery Settings, under Lightbox Settings, you can choose which of these fields should be displayed in the lightbox. Make sure the correct field is selected.

    2. Ensure Captions Are Filled In – Sometimes, images imported from the Media Library don’t have captions or descriptions assigned by default. If the selected field is empty, no text will appear in the lightbox. Try manually adding captions to your images via the Gallery Editor.

    3. Confirm Lightbox Settings – Double-check that the lightbox caption option is enabled in the plugin settings. If it’s turned off, captions won’t be visible.

If you’ve checked these settings and captions still aren’t showing, let us know! Feel free to share a link to your gallery, and we’ll be happy to take a closer look.
