Thank you for your answer! I understand that I saw a help that is not relewant.
After finding the right help I cropped the image but now I have another problem: the cropped image doesn’t appear on pages. Even though I see the cropped image in the gallery (it is saved) I still see the uncropped image on the pages. What should I do?
What should I do?
Remove the image(s) from the page(s) and re-add them. Or, some find it’s easier to carefully edit the URL (in the Text/HTML editor) to match the new URL generated for the cropped and/or scaled image(s):
When an image that is too big is uploaded it will be scaled and the suffix -scaled will be added to the filename.
If you crop that image (or any) it will have a suffix like -e1657563681556.jpg.
Because you have not changed the URL of the image(s) on the page(s), you still see the OLD image.
The old image is not removed, but a new ones created when you crop and/or scale.
See these 3 examples where I just uploaded a very large file, which was scaled, then cropped.
