Can’t remove / edit hardcoded exclude rules
-
Hi,
I’m trying to remove the “Cookie contains: Admin” rule from the Exclude tab, since I’m an admin and when I work on the site I want to see the same page versions that users will see, even if I’m logged in (but only in non-wp-admin pages).
In the excludes tab there doesn’t seem to be any way to remove or even edit the hardcoded rules.I have read another post here that requested to remove the wp-login.php rule where you replied it shouldn’t be removed, but I don’t think that is the case for me.
Also, I think it’s misleading to make the hardcoded rules clickable with dialog boxes if they can’t actually be edited.
Also, I think excluding admins is conflicting with the setting of not excluding logged-in users and renders the latter pretty useless. my “don’t show cache for logged-in users” settings was unmarked and I had to spend a long time trying to figure out why it would still not show me the cached version when I’m logged in.My pitch would be to leave some of the rules that come out of the box as “locked” (/wp-admin should be the only one imo) and make the rest editable/removable.
Thanks!
