Hey @sharonduguid,
An order status of either On Hold, Processing or Completed can be chosen from the gateway settings panel, you cannot, however, choose a status of Pending Payment though.
The reason you cannot choose a status of Pending Payment is that the plugin does not handle any type of digital payment via a link. This extension was actually specifically created to not accept payment via a pay link or via any digital payment gateway.
For invoices, these are normally created from the customer orders after exporting the order data. Business owners usually import this data into a program like Quickbooks to create their invoices which are sent to account customers who settle a business credit account, usually every 30 days or so.
The plugin itself does not create customer invoices for you and only creates orders. For invoices, this is something you would still have to use an accounting program like Quickbooks or similar to bill your account customers with on a regular schedule.
Hi Stuart.
When I first installed the plug-in, it used to work. My wholesale customers would enter an order from their account. The only option they have to pay is to pay by invoice. I’d go in and modify the taxes/shipping and then resend the invoice from WooCommerce Orders. They’d click on the pay link and it would take them back to the main checkout page on the website where they can pay by credit card or etransfer.
I don’t understand why this isn’t an option in WooCommerce. I have to modify the invoices – why would I use two separate systems – one for orders and one for invoicing. It makes no sense. Why can’t I just send the actual invoice that’s already in the system?
It works if you don’t use the Invoice Gateway. If I create a manual invoice in WooCommerce Orders and send it – it works no problem. So I don’t understand why it won’t work for an order that’s already in WooCommerce. How does it know the difference where the order originated from?
Thanks
Sharon
