    We just installed your plugin:

    1) Pasted in our “CODE” for Google Analytics
    2) Clicked Save
    3) Said “Settings Updated”
    4) Didn’t see our code displayed on the page after (not user friendly)
    5) Scratched our heads
    6) Clicked the tabs at the top. Nothing happened. (Your anchor links dont work.)
    7) Clicked “Insights” on sidebar > Dashboard
    8) Notices at the top of the page:

“We need you to authenticate with Google Analytics to use this functionality. If you set your UA-code manually, this won’t work. You can authenticate your Google Analytics profile here to enable dashboards.”

“We need you to authenticate with Google Analytics to use this functionality. If you set your UA-code manually, this won’t work. You can authenticate your Google Analytics profile here to enable dashboards.”

    9) We went back to the settings page, and pasted in our code again. Clicked save.

    10) Error at the top that nothing was updated because nothing was changed.

    11) Scratched our heads more.

Please advise. Nothing else was modified, changed, or set in any of the settings. Is that part of the problem?

  • I’m getting the same bug.

Yep, same problem here too, on fresh install of the plugin πŸ™

Problem was at the Google Analytics end in my case – had to generate a new UA code and Property on Google’s system and then the MonsterInsights plugin picked everything up.

    Thanks.

This is not resolved. I’m still having the same issue as the original poster. Plugin forwards you to Google for authentication, generates auth code, paste into plugin, save, but plugin does not save auth code and ask to choose the profile.

This issue does not seem to be resolved.

I ave tried reauthenticating several times. Removed the UA code in the “Manually enter your UA code” field and unchecked this box. Reauthenticated again several times. Still no effect. When I click on the “Overview” or “Reports” tab, I still see the “We need you to authenticate with Google Analytics …” message.

    Plugin version:5.5.2
    WP version: 4.5.3
