Cannot enter wordpress admin

    Hello guys! I need your help.

    A few days ago I got a new problem. I just cannot enter my wp-admin. Actual website works fine, but when I try to enter admin, it just starts loading and loading and loading. It may take half an hour to open it or doesn’t open at all!
    Why? Hosting sasys everything works from their side. I believe cause actual site works.
    Also I received notification:
    Error connecting to database. Login or password in WP-CONFIG.PHP is incorrect or we cannot contact LOCALCOST.

    UPDATE!!! I can enter my admin if I click edit page when I am on the website. BUT if then I try to enter through rosavetrov.ru/wp-admin, it starts loading….. and all other pages lose connection!

    Help! I cannot work ;(

    Is it possible for you to share the URL?

    Also, did you check the Database Login Credentials are entered correctly in wp_config file?

    I assume might be it has to do something with Db connection.

    To say more, I am an idiot in terms of all that code stuff, php and so on 🙂
    I just can work through wordpress and change styles via CSS 🙂

    For me its strange that suddenly it stopped working. It actually works, but loads too long.

    Hello @vryabov1

    I quickly reviewed your site and it seems you have used many plugins, so might be there is a possibility that one of the Plugin or theme you used is getting conflicted.

    If possible can you please try to deactivate the Plugins Or setting the default twenty seventeen theme once and check if the Admin is loading faster?

    Unfortunately I cannot change the theme, site is active and clients will not understand. But I tried to deactivate plugins I do not use. I am not sure that it helped.

    Hi @vryabov1,

    Probably one of the plug-ins is causing problems with your website.
    Please do the following to check if it solves your issue.

    1. De-activate all plug-ins (via FTP and add _OLD to every plug-in folder).
    2. check if you can enter the administrator section now.
    3. If you can enter this section without trouble, please activate each plug-in one by one. Do this by removing the _OLD text behind the folder.
    4. You will find the culprit this way.

    Hello @vryabov1

    In that case one of the possible solution would be if you can replicate/clone your live site and perform the action on staging site.

    Might be disabling all your plugins and activating default theme might do the trick.

    Later you can try activating plugin one by one and check which one is causing the issue.
