Cannot Disable “Log in with WordPress.com”

I am unable to disable the “Log in with WordPress.com” unless I link a WordPress.com account in Jetpack Security settings, which I do not want to do. How do I disable this feature? Also, when trying to click the button, I get an “Error: Invalid nonce.” message. I assume this is because a WordPress.com account is not connected, but then this button/feature shouldn’t be enabled by default, or if an account is not already connected.

Hey @machineitsvcs – could you please check your site’s functions.php file and check if you have any custom code added from here?

Or if you have any plugin on the site through which you have added the code snippet and not in the functions.php file on the site then you can check there as well.

Also may I know you site address?

This was a new WordPress installation. No custom code in the functions.php of the theme, and no other plugins installed that would cause this. As for the site address, I do not want to provide that on a public forum.

Apologies for the delay. I’m unable to recall which of the sites I manage had this issue as I manage dozens WordPress of sites. I suppose you can close this issue for now and I can reopen it if I can track down which site I was working on at the time.
