What is “bad”?
There are many themes that are based on Bootstrap. If you are using one that is not, adding Bootstrap would be a lot of unnecessary overhead.

Yes, loading more files affects performance, especially if the theme is already built without it. Your usage would be minor, so it would be a big waste.

Are there any alternatives? I am using as a Elementor pro. My job purchased a theme but I may drop it eventually

There are many alternatives to Bootstrap.
Or are you asking if there are alternatives to adding Bootstrap?
I don’t see what Elementor has to do with the theme, but then I’ve never used Elementor.
I don’t know how you “drop a theme”.
A theme is responsible for the front end, which is modified by plugins.
