Hi, it took me hours to figure out, why ACF select labels are not being translated, no matter what translation method I used (fields in same language, independent fields, string translation or advanced editor, different value than label…).

I’m not sure, if the bug is really caused by ACF extended or by ACFM, but after disabling JSON sync for the field group containing the select field, translations are shown.

Could you please investigate this weird bug?

    Hello,

Thanks for the feedback, and sorry for the late answer, I was busy with the latest patch lately.

What you describe seem to be an issue between ACF and WPML itself. ACF Extended doesn’t interfere in this logic, so you should be able to reproduce the same issue without ACF Extended.

Regarding the problem itself, note that ACF Json files always take the priority over fields in database (set in the ACF UI), when fields are displayed on your Post Edit page. This might means why labels aren’t translated (since Json files cannot be translated on their own). But I find it weird that WPML didn’t take that into account.

I would recommend to open a ticket on the WPML support, there should be a setting or a feature that should take care of it.

    Hope it helps!

    Have a nice day!

    Regards.

    Hi Konrad,

this makes sense. I will contact WPML support next year and hopefully they have a fix for this.

Thank you and a happy new year!
