Broken banner layout
-
The banner on the dashboard is broken and can’t be dismissed.
Also, the CSS links to a URL to your homepage, which is a WP guidelines violation.

Dear @kbat82,
This is a really strange issue.
Can you, please, contact us via our live chat so we can assist you in more details?

I can provide further information here if needed. What details would you like?
Looking very briefly through the code, the plugin makes a get request to your plugin’s website at the following URL to fetch the banner ad.
It appears you have a whole suite of endpoints “phoning home”, although I haven’t checked the functionality of each one.
The banner also is loaded on every WP admin page instead of just the plugins page.
I also noticed the plugin’s admin icon isn’t loading properly either:
Let me know if you need any further details, thanks!
Dear @kbat82,
This issue seems to be connected to the installation of the plugin, seems something has gone incorrectly during installation.
Please, deactivate/reactivate the plugin and recheck the results.I deactivated and reactivated and there was no change.
I’m going to contact the client about removing the plugin. I don’t believe they have used any of the functionality of the plugin anyway.
However, in the interest of support, I can leave it installed for about 48 hours if you would like me to test any solutions you might have.
Thanks
Hi,
This issue still persists and the client doesn’t want to remove the plugin, unfortunately. Are there plans to remove the ad systems that “phones home” in the near future?

@sygnoossupport Please refrain from asking people to contact you off forum going forward.
That has been abused before and really needs to stop. If this continues then your account may be flagged and your replies removed.
If this is unclear and you need to contact the moderators about this then you can do so via the Slack #forums channel.
To use that channel you need a Slack account. You can obtain one via these instructions.

Dear @kbat82,
We are planning to change the borders to notification style in our upcoming updates.
Also there will be a “Don’t show again” button, so the problem you are mentioning will be resolved.Dear @jdembowski,
Thank you for your notes, we will consider in our future support replies.
We just asked the user to contact us as we have a live chat support, that would make the process of the issue solving faster. 🙂Hey @sygnoossupport
I actually ended up rewriting the functionality they wanted so I removed the plugin. However, I can install it and test the fix you implement if you’d like. Just let me know here.
I believe the big issue is that you are pulling in ad banners from your personal web server rather than hosting the data within the plugin. Is there a reason you are using this approach?
Dear @kbat82,
Thank you for your input and the willingness of helping us!
The image link comes from our website, as the extensions are being constantly updated and new ones are constantly released.
So the banner is kind of a notification bar about the news in the plugin.
As I mentioned, we are going to change the banner to notification style solution in our upcoming updates, so this issue is going to be fixed soon.
