Hi,
Is the homepage the page with the issue: https://escapemanila.com/ or is some other page? Can you provide a link to the page which has the issue?
Hello!
All blog posts are affected. For instance, this one: https://escapemanila.com/2020/06/p2p-bus-schedule-metro-manila-gcq.html
The results on google: https://prnt.sc/t0es0p
Thanks,
GlenHello @escapemanila
We checked the post https://escapemanila.com/2020/06/p2p-bus-schedule-metro-manila-gcq.html and it is outputting a breadcrumb link in the search results, but your concern is that it is outputting the date as the breadcrumb instead of the bus schedule category, is that correct?
We’re trying to check the page source so we can check the breadcrumb output, but it looks like your content is protected. Can we take a look at the source code from the Yoast SEO plugin?
Hi Michael,
Yes, I am referring to the date.
Thanks for responding. I have temporarily disabled the protection so you can check the page source.
Thanks,
Glen-

Hello @escapemanila
Did you just enable the Yoast SEO breadcrumbs feature without adding the necessary code or making the necessary changes to your theme files? We checked on the page source of https://escapemanila.com/2020/06/p2p-bus-schedule-metro-manila-gcq.html and it looks like it isn’t applying the relevant json+ld schema data for the breadcrumbs.
It looks like it is using the breadcrumbs from Elementor. Please do refer to this article for more information on how to implement the Yoast SEO breadcrumbs — https://yoast.com/help/implement-wordpress-seo-breadcrumbs/
Hello Michael,
So I added the code in the header.php and now the breadcrumbs appear in the leftmost and I don’t know exactly how to move it. But anyway, I tried to view the page source and the json+ld schema is still not there.
Thanks, Glen
Hello @escapemanila
We checked on your post again and it looks like the relevant breadcrumb json+ld data is now outputting. Did you make any changes? Since you have this schema already, that should be a higher chance as a signal to Google to output the relevant breadcrumb path in the search results.
Hi Michael,
Yes, I think it was the Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP plugin that’s causing it. I deactivated it and it seems that it solved the issue. Thanks for the help!
Cheers!
Hi,
That’s great to hear! This should definitely increase the chance of showing the breadcrumbs in the search results.
Cheers! Setting this to resolved.
