• Maybe bailed is not the correct word to use but I hired a freelancer and he wrote me a customized code for my purposes. Running the code required a MYSQL database and connection to this.

The program wrote what I assume is the program and sent it to me with a text file containing information for connection to the MySQL. I have no clue how to use/deploy the code, where to paste it, how to configure the MySQL and or anything beside opening the zip folder and looking at the files in there. I’ve tried asking the freelancer for help but he hasn’t replied to my emails since getting paid.

I would like to see if I can actually use this code but all my basic searching skills lack correct keywords. I’m not quite sure if my explanation makes any sense either. Any starting points for a novice? Any guides out there? My domain/hostings are through Godaddy and wordpress is installed and updates to the latest version.

Sorry… did you mean I posted in the wrong forum?

These are WordPress forums, not forums for general PHP or MySQL issues, or for issues with commercial code. We have no way of knowing what the code you bought does or is supposed to do or how it should work with WordPress.

Consider looking for a reputable person on freelancing sites such as Elance. (It’s not a good idea to respond to unsolicited emails from forum users offering to work for you.)
