I was a blogger user too and most blogger users are unsuccessful when it comes to importing. So unfortunately you have to start from scratch.

I tried what they suggested for WP2.3, but that screwed up the format for manage–> import.
Same here, except mine just times out. This is the error I’m getting:
“Could not connect to https://www.google.com
There was a problem opening a secure connection to Google. This is what went wrong:
Connection timed out (110)”
I’m also using WordPress 2.5. Is there any fix for this?

why is there an authorize and a clear but not an import button by itself?

In the google account the blog is authorized however. Is there a manual way to add the key to WP?

hm…i got the same problem. But, I think, for me the problem is using funpic.
I don’t know if you’re using funpic as well, but in funpic the “gspot” is blocked and so there can’t be any connecting to the blogspot addresses.
Bit annoying, ’cause I tried it on a different way (importing to an wordpressl.com blog, export, importing to my funpic), but that didn’t work as well.

Can’t find it, but someone suggested creating a wordpress.com blog (sign up) and imported from blogger there, then used the Manage->Export facility to create an xml file that they then imported into their blog.

I imported all blogger posts etc to my wordpress.COM blog, yes.
The exported xml-file is only 480kb big, so the import shouldn’t be a problem at all!?
Farms – That didn’t fix the problem for me.
I just tried the “just remove the ‘s’ from https” suggestion and it didn’t work for me either…
Seconding what MichaelH mentioned above.
Set up a WordPress.com account and import posts from Blogger. Don’t give up on first try. It took me 4 tries to get the Blogger posts of friend. (I am assuming that your Blogger username and passwords are up to date. If that blogger account has not been used for a while, you might have missed the updated username and password requirement to access blogger.)
Then export XML from WP.com account and import that XML to your self-installed WordPress. You do have to go over the posts and add categories to post.
Download the images from Blogger account and upload to your server. Close down your blogger account AND new WordPress.com account to avoid duplicate content and to get search engine ranking on your WordPress account. Good luck
