Beware: Possible rendering problem with 7.4.3
-
We have thoroughly enjoyed using SU for years, but we had two serious display problems after updating to 7.4.3 and reverted to 7.4.2 to fix them. Everything has worked perfectly for years before the update and still works perfectly in 7.4.2.
We use the Storefront child theme and Woocommerce. All plugins are up to date (except SU is now 7.4.2). We use the classic view to build posts and products.
The rendering problem affects all of our product pages, not just the one shown here. Here is the full code for the description section of a product. In each of our product descriptions we add a shortcode to include an explanation post like this:
Prints of original art by Marla Jean Clinesmith are mounted under white mats (not pictured online) with a backer. Sizes shown are for the outside of the mat and fit common frame sizes.
<h4>Explanation</h4>

<p>Man is restricted in the comprehension of the mechanics of things outside of time. This inability requires a marker of the beginning of time and end of time to establish the order of all things known and seen, as well as a hope for what lies beyond. Responding to that very dilemma, the writer of the book of Hebrews tells us: <em>"let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus (Yeshua), the author and finisher of our faith"</em> (Hebrews 12:1-2) That author and finisher prophetically initials His love letter to mankind thousands of times throughout the Old Testament by inserting the Aleph-Tav pictographs.</p>

</div>In each of the explanation posts we use shortcode columns. When looking at the posts themselves, everything renders properly in both ver 7.4.3 and in 7.4.2, but when looking at the post after it is included in a product description odd things happen. Using 7.4.3 the image near the top of the explanation post shows up twice and the commented out div and embedyt coding at the bottom left of the post shows the comment coding on a black background. The other bottom item is designed to not show up in the product description and it works properly.
This image is how it looks in 7.4.2

These next 2 images show how it looks in 7.4.3 with a zoom in on the commented out area.

If you have suggestions or need further info please let me know so I don’t have to stay with an outdated plugin.
