Does this happen only on the homepage? Can you create a brand new page and see if you get the same thing?
Can you also try switching to a different theme real quick and see if that makes a difference? You can use one of the free TwentyX themes.

Thanks for getting back to me.
Yeah its only the home page that has became unresponsive. All of the other pages are fine, I added a new page, which also works perfectly fine.
The last thing that I was trying to do was fix the menu position so it was visible whilst scrolling and also trying to create a lightbox, which doesn’t seem to work with this theme.
I have changed the theme, still unresponsive on the home page.

What was the issue in the end, and resolution?
Turns out he had a MagnificPopup script on the homepage but the jQuery plugin for it was missing which caused a JS error.
